Dohatsuten - Nipponia Nippon! 2 November 2005
At first I hestitated to upload this album because, to be honest, I don’t enjoy it. However, some of you might like it and I would rather try to be diverse with what I share than to focus only on bands that I personally enjoy. Dohatsuten is an older Japanese rock band, going all the way back to the 80’s, so in my experience a lot of foreign Japanese music fans are not familiar with their work. Despite being released in 2005 ’Nipponia Nippon!’ has the flavor and texture of late 80’s, early 90’s Japanese rock. Particularly the kind that remained distant from the influences of the ever-growing J-pop machine, which contrasts Dohatsuten with other rock contemporaries like B’z. I hope you guys enjoy the album more than I do, heh. Unfortunately for those who do, this is the only Dohatsuten album which I own.Sorry about not uploading an album yesterday. I think that makes it two days now this year I haven’t uploaded one? Anyways I want to give a big thanks to all of the people that download and seed these albums, and thank you all for messages of support!
