Ken Yokoyama - Third Times A Charm 5 September 2007
I realized today that this is the eighth album I’ve uploaded which was released on the 5th of September, 2007. I must have been on a crazy shopping spree….Anyways—the most important thing to say about Ken Yokoyama is that this now solo artist is not the same Ken Yokoyama who is the leader of Crazy Ken Band. This is instead Ken Yokoyama the punk rock guitarist, formerly of the band Hi-Standard. This particular album is a cover album, and Yokoyama’s English grates on the ears of some people, but personally I think he sings well; or let me be more accurate: I’ve heard far worse, heh. I dare say that some people wouldn’t be able to guess this is a Japanese vocalist. Despite having fifteen tracks this album plays out in just thirty-eight minutes. I can’t think of any particularly long songs on Yokoyama’s original albums, and he certainly didn’t pick any for this cover album.Enjoy as always!
